High Trail Arabians Farm 989 South Stillwell Road Boston Kentucky 40107
We are Rod and Ruth McCracken. We are located near Elizabethtown and Bardstown. Ruth and I started High Trail Arabians in the fall of 2004. We grew up in the small town of Barnesville, Ohio where we met on horse back in 1965. After we graduated high school I enlisted in the Marine Corps and served my country in US and Europe. We were married in 1971 in our home town while I was on a 96 hr pass from Camp Lejeune, N.C. I was discharged in 1973 from the Corps and moved back home to Ohio. In 1984, we were headed west and found ourselves in Parker, Co. In 1987, we then headed south to Florida where we lived till 2004 and came here to Kentucky. High Trail Arabian Farm is truly home for us! Ruth's sister Rebecca Haines of Haines City, Florida (owner of Wind Valley Arabians) sent us two of her horses Pepper and Silly. The rest is history.
I have studied countless trainers tactics and have introduced my own twist on horsemanship training taking the best from trainers like Dennis Reis, Chris Cox, Clinton Anderson, Crag Cameron just to name a few.
One thing is certain. All horses are different and they learn as individuals.
